Following the closure of The Museum Bookshop in December 2003, Museum Books was set up in 2004 to supply books in the fields of Egyptology, the Ancient Near-East, the Classical World and selected Archaeology.

The Museum Bookshop operated in Great Russell Street, Bloomsbury, London, for nearly 25 years. Founded by Ashley Jones and David Mezetti it became, particularly in recent years, a much valued resource for Egyptologists and all those fascinated by ancient history. Close to the British Museum, it attracted visitors from all over the world and became a favourite stopping off point.

Here are a few photographs of the shop and one of the many book launches held there.
